After such incredible support since I first invented the 1.8FR, we have finally been in the position to release our own single lumen 3.5 for larger babies and all species!
3.5 is the most available tiny tube on the market but they have never been affordable for the high quality version. So I decided it was time to develop an animal-specific version in order to bring the price down for all of the wildlife rehab community.
These are single lumen so risk of aspiration is yet again minimized and there will never be a need to search for expensive human umbilical catheters again. Nearly $20 a tube is not affordable when we need so many and have so many animals who need our help.
The 3.5 is the perfect size for larger possum babies, newborn puppies (especially small breeds like chihuahuas, I have used these on my own newborn 70g chihuahuas!) and kittens. All other wildlife whose anatomy is compatible with tube feeding with a bit larger windpipe will also benefit from this size.
Unlike the 1.8FR, these do not absolutely require a 200 micron strainer like a coffee filter. A regular very fine strainer should be sufficient.
My goal is to continue to always have tubes in stock and as usual, there are no limits on purchase quantity!
